4 single beds, Power points, Carpeted floors, 2 screened windows and 2 sliding doors.
What you will need to bring for a cabin:
Linen, pillow, blanket (fan if weather is hot or a small heater if cold), for and extra cost, linen can be supplied if required .
Can I bring my dog?
Yes, dogs are welcome.
Owners must pick up pooh and make sure your pet does not stray (must be kept on a leash).
Is there firewood?
Yes, firewood is provided by the Canoe Centre.
Is there hot showers?
Yes.
Are there powered sites?
We have 26 powered sites, 10 and 15 amp sockets available.
Power is an extra $2 per night.
Can I pay by credit card or Eftpos?
Cash or Cheque only – no eftpos or card facilities are available.
What is in the two kitchen shelter sheds (camp kitchens)?
Fridge/freezers
Microwave,
Kettle, Toaster,
Gas bbq’s and gas burners, Tables/chairs.
What you need to bring for the kitchen:
Cutlery, plates/cups/bowls, saucepan, tea towel, washing liquid, sponge, pots to cook with etc.
What shops for food are there?
Grafton for major shopping supplies - 35km.
Coutts Crossing General store - 19km (food and closest fuel).
Saint John’s Coffee Shop – 2.5km from Nymboida Canoe Centre.
Nymboida Coaching Station Inn (Hotel/Bar).
Do you sell Food?
No, only cool drinks. We also sell canoeing supplies e.g. paddles,
spray decks, helmets, pfd’s, wet boots etc.
Is there mobile phone reception?
No, there is however a public phone box. Closest mobile reception is approx 15km back towards Coutts Crossing at Skinners Swamp.
Is there a place to ride off-road motorbikes?
No.
How far are you from Grafton?
Approx. 35km from Grafton on the Armidale road. (all sealed roads)
How far away is the nearest hospital?
Grafton Hospital (38km). Ambulance takes approx. 40mins to get to Nymboida.
Do you sell ice?
No, but ice is sold at Coutts Crossing General Store.
Does the creek flood?
No. The water levels are controlled by the Hydro Station.
Is there a noise curfew?
Yes, 10:30pm.
Do I have to pay the 'day paddlers' fee if I am camping?
No. The day fee is only for day visitors.
How old do I have to be to go tubing?
It depends on the size of your children. Our smallest pfd's (life vests) usually fit 5yr olds. Children under 15yrs are to be accompanied by an adult at all times.
It is strongly recommended to always have at least 2 or more adults in a group, in case of an emergency.
