Located about 35 km South West of Grafton on the Ebor/Armidale Road, Nymboida Canoe Centre is situated on the banks of Goolang Creek. It is one of the best white water facilities in the State and has hosted many local, regional, state and national championships. Not only is white water canoeing and kayaking popular but so is white water rafting. The Centre also offers other activities such as canoe hire and instruction, orienteering, abseiling and low ropes challenge courses. There are cabins within the Canoe Centre which are clean and comfortable as well as a large camping area. The office shop is stocked with all the equipment and gear you are ever likely to need for paddling from a wide range of manufacturers.

The Centre is a non profit trust run by Nymboida Canoeing Limited since 1973 and specialises in outdoor education for school groups. Robert Delderfield manages the centre and lives on site. With a slalom kayaking background Robert's passion is white water kayaking, in all types of kayaks and has taken an interest in coaching beginners to elite slalom paddlers in the area. He is also a Level 1 Slalom Coach as well as a White Water Canoe and Kayak Instructor (level 2) with Australian Canoeing. A very competent staff team assists him with instruction particularly with school groups and general activities held during the year. All staff are certified in the specialist area of instruction and all hold current Rescue and First Aid certificates.

around 2 km of Grade I, II and III rapids
modified rapids to enhance features for slalom and rodeo
permanent slalom wires
over 50 slalom gates on site
boat storage/repair shed
footpath access along length of creek for ease of viewing
cabin accommodation for up to 100
bbq and cooking areas, with fridges, kettles and toasters hot showers
regulated river levels (restrictions apply in times of low rainfall)
